Greek Community Center at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Closing in 2019

Akron, OH– The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church will close its Greek Community Center catering operation to all non-parishioner events effective January 1, 2019. All events scheduled up through December 31, 2018 will go on as planned. Currently scheduled events for 2019 will be notified and provided with recommendations for alternative locations. Plans to accommodate future parish events and individual parishioner events will be forthcoming.

Founded in 1916, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church is under Metropolitan Savas and the Metropolis of Pittsburgh, which is a part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Annunciation’s mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Christ; to teach and spread the Orthodox Christian faith; and to energize, cultivate and guide the life of the community according to the Orthodox faith and traditions.
The Greek Community Center has been in operation for over 50 years, serving the greater Akron community’s receptions, fundraisers, showers, rehearsal dinners, school proms, senior banquets, and other events.
